the fisherman // part one

"There is a point in life, when a deep satisfaction, which comes from your surroundings, comes over you and you know you've found home. And now, after a month and a half of wandering aimlessly around the city of San Diego, I can say I've experienced just that.
I am currently standing on the pier among the fisherman as they are discussing the catch of the day - some form of small shark, to be exact - and its making me quite possibly the happiest and most at home I have been in a long time. Sure, I know nothing when it comes fishing lingo; I don't even know the names of these men, yet they treat me as one of their own.
There are no pictures with this post. Its probably the first time I didn't have my camera on me to be honest, but better for it. I don't think anyone, no matter how great of a photographer, could have captured the feeling I felt in that moment."
I wrote this while watching these men do what they do best. I finished the paragraph, started to walk home, when something moved me to go back and actually talk to these men. And I did. More to come on this story later, just had to share a quick jot of it to all who choose to read.
