The Good Shepherd

The Twenty-Third Psalm of David
The Lord the Shepherd of His People

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2  He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3  He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For you are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

This prayer of a psalm has been running through my mind as of late.
No matter who you are, where you are from, what you do,
the Lord is the Good Shepherd.
He is.
He will give you everything you need and no more than you can handle.
That is a promise.

This photograph is of a woman who lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
They meet here, in this church building, for a food, care and prayer.
The organization is called Adoption 1:27.
Another post to come on the subject, but for now,
here is the link:

Roadsides in Rwanda

Kigali, Rwanda and the outskirts of Musovu.
The cleanest city I have been to, ever.
The locals told me it is even illegal to have bare feet, but I can't be too sure,
they could have been pulling my leg...
