Dear Everyone, meet the quaint, little Italian island of Ischia. This place lives just of the coast of Naples, and I must say, it is the most magical place I have ever been to in my life. This past March, my dear friend Elsa and I ventured off to Italy/Ireland for a whole month. We saw, ate, and explored more things in a whole month than I thought was possible. But since this post is only pictures of Ischia, I'll stick to talking about that for now.
These first four are of the view we were blessed with for two whole weeks. Since Ischia is nine hours ahead, waking up at four in the morning from the drastic time change ensured us seeing a sunrise everyday. This one, with the billowing, almost turquoise clouds, just happened to be my favorite.
These people are obsessed with planting pots, and after seeing them everywhere, I sort of am too.
A random floral shop. There were many of them.
I love snooping around people's gardens. Is that weird?
These Italians know how to build their houses.
The walk to the beach was only five minutes, and that was a view in itself.
The balconies are so much like you would dream them up to be. Clothes are hanging by clothes pins from every porch.
And, of course, the bread was incredible too. I ate a whole loaf almost everyday.
To have a shadow box of Mother Mary is quite a common thing.
Pots and more pots. Oh, and that tail was the family pet, Fanta. She was a pretty cool cat.
Ischia, Sant Angelo. The water is so blue.
The last night, and the most beautiful sunset. My heart still aches for this place.
